MARY MATIA KO'S ANOTHER VICTIM
Congratulations to Mary Matia on her 3rd round victory against Ashley Connor at Wild Bill's Fight Night on Saturday, June 18th. Mary won her fight by ref stoppage.
Freddy Assuncao won his fight in Bellingham, Washington on Friday, March 11th against Kit Cope. The fight ended by rear naked choke at 3:47 in the 2nd round.
"The fight started with a series of kicks with both fighters connecting to the legs. In the middle of the first round, Freddy was able to catch one of these kicks and take Cope to the ground. Not wanting to tangle with Assuncao on the mat, Cope quickly got the fight back to their feet while Freddy continued to try to take it back to the ground. To end the round, Assuncao threw a superman punch that connected but didn’t seem to do too much damage to Cope. During the second round Freddy put the pressure on Cope, he worked him into the cage and secured the takedown. It was here where Assuncao’s far superior ground skills took over. Freddy was able to take Cope’s back and secure a rear naked choke that ended the fight at the 3:47 mark." (Bullock, Georgiafighters.com)

CONGRATULATIONS MARY MATIA
ON HER WIN AT WILD BILL'S
ON JANUARY 29TH
120LB NFC CHAMPION!
FIGHT NIGHT RESULTS 12/11
Great job to Mary Matia who won her kickboxing match by unanimous decision at Wild Bill's Fight Night. Mary's opponent, Emily Ferrari, was overwhelmed by punches and knees throughout the entire match. Mary once again proved to be the more aggressive fighter, keeping her opponent on her heels all 3 rounds. Not only did Mary show outstanding cardio and conditioning, but she was also the more technical fighter by far. Mary trained extremely hard and spent hours in the gym in the weeks leading up to the fight. All of her hard work definitely paid off in the ring! Great job Mary!
FIGHT NIGHT RESULTS 10/29
Thanks to all of yuou who came out and supported the fighters at Wild Bill's Fight Night on Friday, October 29th. Fighting first was Mary Matia vs. Stephanie Garcia in the only female kickboxing bout of the night. After weeks of hard training, it was obvious that Mary was ready for this fight. She came out swinging in the first round overwhelming her opponent with a barrage of punches. Mary stalked her opponent throughout the entire round. In round 2, it was evident that her opponent was gassed. Dominating the ring once again, Mary continued to throw endless punches and kicks ending the fight in the first 30 seconds of this round with a devastating front kick.
Mary Matia wins by TKO in round 2.

Later on the card was Freddy Assuncao vs. Maajid Al Kush. Freddy came out calm and relaxed in the first round while his opponent did exactly the opposite. Maajid tried all he could to get in the first strikes, but Freddy's defense and counters did not allow it. Maajid then tried to take Freddy down and was again unsuccessful in gaining a dominant position. All 3 rounds were the same with Freddy dominating the fight completly on the ground and on his feet. This was by far one of the most entertaining fights of the night thanks to Freddy Assuncao with a show of impressive skills and techniques both on the ground and on his feet.
